A Fully Integrated B2B - B2C E-Commerce Website

Frequency Telecom, a leading distributor and design manufacturer of mobile device accessories in the UK and Europe needed to redesign their website to improve their online presence and customer relationships, as well as increase engagement and sales on their digital platform. 

The client approached The Marketing Dots to develop an e-commerce platform fully integrated with their ERP system.

The main challenge was the time and the complexities of the project. The client was up against the deadline of their contract renewal with their current solution provider. Renewing the contract would mean getting delayed in achieving their strategic goal as well as a longer-term cost commitment.

Although the client has been using their current system for a long while, the data, pricing, product architecture, and logic in their current system weren’t documented. The missing documentation did not allow us to have headway at the discovery stage. Furthermore, the time constraints meant we had to unpick and build as we progressed.

Due to the level of complexity within the pricing structure and account management, 3rd party integrators were not sufficient to achieve the outcome the client sought.

As part of our agreement, we are hosting and maintaining the platform on behalf of Frequency Telecom on a London-based Server to comply with UK GDPR legislation. We continue to work with the Frequency team to develop further enhancements.
